We are pleased to announce the roll-out of v2.1 of PinnacleApp™ which represents the first release as part of our Planned Release Programme. We've implemented the programme to increase our commitment to provide automated updates to PinnacleApp™. As a PinnacleApp™ client you'll now benefit from regular releases every two to four weeks to include new features, improvement and bug fixes.
This is the first of our posts where we hope to provide detailed information on what’s changed and how our improvements can benefit your site.
Remember Your Place
We've listened to your feedback, so now when you finished editing a page, product or post you'll return to the same place on the grid. We'll even remember the filters you've set so editing many things at once should be a breeze. Even if you filter another grid or edit something else, your place is still remembered.
Bulk Actions
Some tasks are better completed in bulk. You've always been able to delete more than one item at a time and now we've added additional bulk actions. From most areas in PinnacleApp™ you can make things active or inactive from the grid. For products, you can now manage categories in bulk. You're able to specify the only category for many products, or add and remove a category to many products at once.
UI Improvements
We've made many user interface improvements to streamline your workflow. The single products grid now shows the price and you filter by products in/out of stock and with or without images. The grouped product grid now features the "from price" and we've added boolean filters so you can filter by fields that are usually a tick or a cross.
You'll now find save and delete buttons permanently at the top of the page so you no longer need to scroll to the bottom of the page to save your changes.
We've improved some of our pickers too. When your setting up a link or picking out related or grouped products, rather than scrolling through hundreds of options you can enter keywords to filter by, then only relevant results are returned to pick from.
Order Acknowledgement Email
As we mentioned in our previous post you're now able to add your own custom message to the order acknowledgement email. By default, we've set this as a legal disclaimer.
Images & Files Uploader
We're now able to configure your uploader to accept any file types you require, such as GPS files for route guides. Let us know the file types you require and we'll set everything up. Normally, we'll set up the uploader to allow images (JPEG, GIF, PNG) and PDFs.
SecureHosting
We've added SecureHosting to the growing list of available payment providers.
